Unhappy turn signals stay on once bike is turned off ?

let me start with HI, im mike living in london,

now i could do with some help,,,

i have a 99 r1, and the next door neighbour just rang to let me know i had left the lights on on my bike, iv gone out to my bike to find the right hand side indicators on, not flashing just on, no mater how i try they just wont turn off, now the battery is about dead, so i look for the fuse to try cut power, a ha, think i found it, but no, i have pulled out the starter fuse but this has fixed the problem, well apart from i cart start my bike unless i put the fuse back in, and the indicator comes on again,,,,,,,,,,
