Okay I didn't actually crash, but its still a painful experience. This morning I was getting ready to go to the gym as usual. Went out to the garage to get my bike, which was sitting pretty on the rear stand. I guess I was still asleep and had a brain fart. I forgot to put the kickstand down when I took the bike of the rear stand. I thought the kickstand was down so I gently lean her over instead she went down. :furious :furious :weeping :weeping :slapcry Luckily the frame sliders did its job, but there is still a scratch. You guys think it can be buffed out?

That sucks the BONE! :weeping
Total bummer, 'bro, looks like your got it down to the underlying plastic. Dunno how well it would buff out, but give it a shot.... worse comes to worse, apply a kick-ass sticker to the affected region until you can re-paint it proper. :D
Sorry to here that mate,
Just remember that, it was better than you being on the bike and crashing.
But I love that expression " BRAIN FART " :lol

Man it was so stupid and I felt like an idiot! I kept thinking about it. Oh well, I brought my bike to a detail shop and the owner said he could fix it up.

You got before and after pics? Plus everything is better with a good buffing.

I did that once. Luckily I caught it in time. Just be thankful that that was the only damage. I don't know about buffing it out. It doesn't look too bad so it's possible. :shrug

Hi All, i'd like to share one of my experiences with you, however embarrasing - as i feel the more stories that there are out there about accidents, the less people might have....
A couple of months ago, I had the flu, and had it for about 3 weeks....was sick of being sick, and sick of staying home - so i got the bike out of the garage and took off.... 150 klms later I was up in the blue mountains (west of Sydney) and had forgotten to put the lining in the jacket.....long story short, I was cold, sick, and attempting to throw my bike through some twisty stuff....the road was wet, I had a new Pirelli Diablo on the back that wasnt quite worn in, and apparently a death wish....I took an off camber corner to close to the centre line, didnt lean enough and ended up looking for a 'way out' - I didnt want to put my baby down on the road, and there looked to be some nice soft mud and grass on the side of the road - so off I went - and as soon as my tires hit the mud, so did I....not before my shoulder & head hit the ashphalt....good bye helmet,....the bike suffered 3500 dollars worth of damaged fairing, and i bruised my ego.... and thats my story
