Care to share your thoughts and experiences about going from one bike to the other?

I'm going to be doing my first TD on my 600rr in a couple weeks. And to make things easier for myself I thought I would stop riding the r1 for a while till after the TD. My rational for it is this: I love riding my R1 and very comfortable with how it re-acts to different senerios, while I enjoy my 600rr I cant get into the same groove that I do with my R1.

I didnt think it would be that much of a big deal until I rode both in the same day and felt how I was timid on the rr and longing that extra umph I get from the 1.

I went from the 6 the 1 and instantly felt more comfortable and stable, but after riding the one for three years now I long for the maneuverability of the 6 again. The power makes little difference to me considering I do most of my riding in the canyons where the 1's power means next to nothing compared to the entry speed of the 6. All in all they are just two very different bikes that require a different riding style, if you have "gotten set in your ways" it will be hard to go from one to the other.

And this is what I am afriad of. I've painfully locked and covered up the 1 for the next couple weeks, and hopped on the rr. Was just running errands on it, but still didnt feel alright with dipping into corners like I do on my 1. Hoping that a few treks to a familiar local twisties will aid me in appreciating a smaller bike.
