2004febr1 07-13-2005, 12:58 PM I have been on the prowel for new exhaust for sometime...What tipped the scales for the Arata for you? I am looking really hard at the Termignoni pipes...
All the well known brands are good and we are not pro racers so dont worry about wich 1 will give you and extra 1 or 2 H.P.
So to me it all came down to the look.
If you go with the Termi, you will be very happy, Well maybe not your wallet:lol

Termignoni looks awfully sweet(probably the best looking pipes for the R1 IMO), but if you are looking for the best performance gains, go with Graves. You get the exact same system they put on their race bikes. All they do is Yamaha racing mods, not like all the other exhaust manufacturers that have to split R&D among 40 or 50 models. You get all that research dedicated to just the R1 & R6. I have it and love it. Almost a 15 hp and 9 lb.ft. torque increase with a PCIII.

Yowser, that's some serious HP gains... I take it that's with a full Graves system, not just slip-ons, yes?
VaHyPeR6 08-14-2005, 02:37 PM more than likely thats for a full system. Most slip-ons will only add 5hp tops! Hp gains also depends on which mods are already done to the bike before the exhaust IE: if you have velocity stacks, PC3, and a filter you will probably get more gains off a full system than if you were to do a full system to a stock bike with a PC3.
Just thought I would throw up another pic :D

Soooo nice looking.
Thanks mate, I thinks so too :D
slickwillie 08-24-2005, 09:05 PM I'm guessing with the price you paid, it was for a full system? Did you get a custom map done?
Yes slick , Full Titianium and PC with map :hitit :hitit :D
aar0ncee 10-29-2005, 10:05 AM forget about the exhaust... nice tires :D
tetsuo 02-02-2006, 02:16 AM beautiful bike! i want to get the graves pipe... but i'm afraid an aftermarket pipe is too expensive. if i get the pipe, i would need to get vstacks and pc card.... that is way too much for me!! i must be content with my baby!! i must, i must!!
Just get the end can's, then you dont need to get a pc and V stcks :D
