Soon be getting a new R1:D , just wanted to ask about the oil filter, rather than the dealer use another brand. Anyone know....i used a supertec filter on my 05 R6, ST3713 and that filter also fitted Toyota cars

I have always used the Yamaha Filter. Sorry I am of no help.

I think it's the same supertech job (ST7317) I know I use that on my R6, but on my 99 R1 it's a little too long so I go with the Puralator PL14612. Most R1/R6 filters just need to have 20 x 1.5mm threads, 14 psi by-pass valve, anti-drain back valve, 2.3" O.D. gasket and be 2.5" or 3.5" long. Only reason I go with the 2.5 on my 99 is because the filter is right behind the headers.

I have used the Mobile M1-110 successfully on my 07.
