Curious to see what your first bike was/is. Hopefully this doesn't become a bashing thread on those who started out with an R1...

Mine was a used 2000 YZF600R. I bought her 3 years ago and put on about 16k miles on her. Great reliable bike. Great forum with top notch people too. Met all of my riding buddies from there and most of us have upgraded.

Mods included:
Mototeck Undertail, Mototeck flushies, -1/+2, smoked screen, V&H S4 slip-on, painted mirrors and hugger.

I almost got one of those but I didn't like the banana seat.

Wow you guys started out right. I don't have a photo handy, or maybe at all, but my first bike was a ratty Yamaha IT250 dirt bike. Engine went to shit after one summer of riding. I miss it and dirt/trail riding to this day.

I started out with a Suzuki Katana..

Mine was a 1981 Suzuki GS 450. Not a bad beginner bike, but I outgrew it pretty fast...

I started when I was 5 on a little Honda 50 :D

First road bike was some shitty old Honda 400 that would never start, so after many times trying to push up and down the hill , I left it at the bottom and went out and bought a RGV250:D

My friend that got me into riding had one of those mini trials too. I went from that straight to his 81 YZ250, and then crashed it into a pole. :lol Hence why I had to buy my own.
