: what is your next modification
sxlova07 01-07-2007, 05:16 PM Thought I would start a thread where we can talk and/or share pics of the mods on our R1's.
For right now, I am still a bit undecided. I was thinking about PVM/Carrozzeria rims, but instead I am going to get new sprocket and chain (going +1 on the rear). And in the spring get my pciii tuned right.
Sean714 01-08-2007, 12:06 AM Mine only has 600 miles, so I'm a wait a little till I do my 520 conversion and -1 in the front. After that I'll do an exhaust and power commander. It came with frame sliders so I'm set there. Oh, this week, def putting PP's on. these stock tires suck ass.

Sean714 01-18-2007, 09:38 PM ^ +1......or may I suggest going +3 in rear........basically the same thing. I found on my other bikes it was easier to stand it up with the rear sprocket(+3) vs the front(-1). This is my first liter bike, but I can't imagine it being any different than the 600's.
albinohickey 01-19-2007, 12:26 PM Right now I've done or am doing this month:
Woodcraft case covers, clip-ons, 520 conversion (done), SS brake lines, HH pads and a steering damper. But my bikes needs a lot of this to be presentable.
Sean714 01-19-2007, 03:06 PM I need to do the SS lines and rotors and pads....still not sure what to get on the rotors and pads...I guess what ever I get the best deal on.

I have a 04. My reasoning for going +1 in the rear is that I want a lil oomph down low, however I don't need it to act like the -1 f +2 r set-ups that many ppl do (read many threads over at r1-forum about it).

LiquidR1 01-30-2007, 04:55 AM well i think my sig lists all my mods. so go figure

I did Galfer line and EBC HH pads. I think that's a pretty standard set up. Can't wait to try it out.
aar0ncee 01-30-2007, 05:55 PM going back to an 05 swinger... had one powdercoated gloss black and picked up a chain adjuster for it...
never liked the 06 swinger, too long.
Inten_Z 01-31-2007, 12:17 AM The only mod I feel is worth it is to learn to really ride it.
albinohickey 01-31-2007, 11:12 AM ^ HAHA, good answer. If mine was in one piece when I bought it I wouldn't have added a thing.
aar0ncee 01-31-2007, 12:12 PM nope, that is why i have a track bike... my r1 is for modding out, wheelies and other squidly tactics.
