I was curious if any of you guys weighed your bike after making mods. I'm wondering what kind of weight reduction can be expected.

i never weighed mine. but ditching the stock y-pipe and slip-ons for aftermarket has to be at least worth 10-15 pounds. My wheels where probably 30-40 % lighter than the stock ones so that proabably another 3-4 pounds right there. I ditched the signals, mirrors, and rear fender. Thats probably another 1.5 pounds.

..but ditching the stock y-pipe and slip-ons for aftermarket has to be at least worth 10-15 pounds. Holy chit. 10-15 pound saving in just slip-ons?? Damn. What did Yamaha use for stock pipes, iron? Jebus.

A full race bike conversion should save you approx 15-20 lbs.

switch to Race body work, remove head lights, full exhaust (wheels optional) and misc hardware that is totally wortth less.....

Slip ons save you ~2-3 lbs most. Full system 7-10 depending if you have a cat or not..
