I'vjust got my 06 r1 (BLUE) on Friday 7 July.
Will post pics soon, once I work how to download from my cellphone.
I've been riding for about 24 years; MX,Enduro and short track. Owned a crap load of bikes in my time but NOTHING compares to my brand spanking new R1 !
I have the GO!!!!! Edwards lid, so hence the forum name.

Congrats on your new bike! I picked mine up about two months ago and have been enjoying every bit of its 998cc's :)

Yep, quite an old fart in terms of riding but not 40 yet for another couple of years !
Asphalt...I see from your profile you enjoy scuba, I qualified as a NAUI Instructor in Monterey CA a few years back, been diving since 1990....love it.
Anyway my R1 pics suck on the cell phone, will use the missus's cam tonite and post pics tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm still running the R1 motor in, got about 200kms on it now, so by next week it's first service, then I look forward to "comparing" the 998 cc's to the 599 of my old R6 as well !
