How was your suspension from the factory, Mine was soft as hell and i dont like it. Im going to do some tweaking as soon as this cold spell breaks. Did any of you think it was too soft from factory. Cuz i remember my 05 r6 being pretty stiff from factory and i never really had to mess with the suspension cuz i was pretty happy with it. It seems to be compressin way to much in the curves causing the rear to unload half way through the curve and thus runnin wide. What should i do, add some spring preload and compression damping? Im not to good with suspension. Help would be appreciated.

I think mines pretty stiff. I can run over a quater and tell you if it was on heads or tails. I'm gonna tweak mine when I do several runs through the curves.

not worth a damn. I had superbike italia work on mine and the first thing out of his mouth was way to soft. Even with everything tightened up, to soft. Oh well, suspension is on my list of shit to do anyway. :shrug

R1 needs an aftermarket rear shock...
06 has better forks tho :P

here are my suspension settings...
Front
Rebound: 10 clicks out from fully in.
Compression: 10clicks out from fully in
Rear
Rebound: 10 clicks out from fully in
Compression: eight clicks out from fully in

My R1 came very stiff- in fact, it's kinda painful unless I'm doing about 100mph.... hmm, think cops would buy sore ass as an excuse? They can't have heard it too many times :)
I'm thinking of reducing it a bit, but it is nice at high speeds.
This is on an '06- not sure that's in my profile yet.
