Buddy of mine has an 05' R1, he broke a spark plug in the head. So he replaced it with an 04' head, figuring its the same head. Now the bike starts to overheat while sitting at idle, not while smashing or on freeway. Sent it to two mechanics and they cant figure it out. Does anyone know if there's a different port configuration between the heads or possible a gasket blockage in the heads? Has anyone had this problem?
