:soapbox Have an 06 r1.. drove bike last friday. ran like a dream like always. sat. morning started up the bike ran like sh*t. feels like the bike was missing . has lots of excess gas from exhaust, Tried fuel injector cleaner - No reults. Then thought i should do some maintenance, So i changed the plugs, changed the oil, cleaned and recharged my k&n air filter. changed radiator fluid. To no resolve . Bike runs like its on 3 cylinders. have 19K + miles. never had an issue til now. It just literally happened over night. bike has never over heated. never raced. has had 7 oil changes. have bruce racing exhaust, Please help with any suggestions as where i can go next. Only thing that comes to mind is a spark plug wire since you changed the plugs and ECU's rarley fail, I have never heard of an ecu failing to be honest. I would try your plug wires. You can take your plug out with wire attached and touch the side that looks like a nut to a ground on the bike turn it over and look for a spark. Beware of fuel coming from the empty plug hole. If you still have your old ones stick one in place of the cylinder your testing. Good luck. P.S. Thanks indiana I know its a good post. :)
