O.K guys these setting ROCK for the 04 model.

Track use only or serious twisties :hitit

Front preload = 3 lines showing
front rebound dam. = 7 clicks out
front compres. dam. = 9 clicks out

Rear spring = pos 8 out of max 9
rear rebound dam = 21 clicks out
rear compres. dam. = 7 clicks out

They made such diff on the track from the standard setting , bike was so smooth through the corners and under heavy breaking it was stable as hell.

Hey slick,

I'm 170 cm short......:lol

80 kg...........

Sorry I cant convert that.:D

One of my friends also used those same setting and he would be about 180 cm tall and about 90 kg's.

He also was very happy.

Its just a good starting point to try .

Good settings, Mine are very simular but not sure off the top of my head. I will have to check them when I get to my garage after work. The biggest change was tightening my PreLoad from 6 to 8 on my rear tire for me. :badgerroc

I am on my 5th trackday this year. Let me ask though...have all you just set it up yourselves or have you gone to the suspension guys at the track? I have been temped to just let them do it so I can say someone with professional knowlege has done it.

What do you guys suggest...1) Just keep working with it...2)Trackday Suspension guys ??

I got those settings form the NET.

I also have just bought a book called " total control" by Lee Parkes.

Its explains how it all works , As I am like you and want to know how and why.

Ozy what tires are you running with these setting? It seems like these settings would be stiff. Have you set your static sag? If you have what is it?

I'm running Pilot Powers with the bike, And must say a very good all round tire.

I have not set the sag as ive been told that my weight is roughly the same as they set the bike up out of the factory. This was the case with my old R6.

From my understanding the static sag is the mesurements from when you are sitting on the bike, so they are something that would be diiferent for each guy depending on weight.

I may be wrong

The settings are stiff but it makes it feel so strong and stable on the track. for street it is not that good with all the bumps and shit on the road.

Yeah I was thinking that it would be a bit stiff. IM just going to let the Guys at Team Promotion set my bike up, there is just too many factors if I do it my self
