Well I just got the bike back from the shop and after 3 1/2 weeks and a "few calls" to the local shop Yamaha covered the break under warranty. :thumbup

One of the valve guides broke and then was sucked into the engine and bounced around on the piston...not good. Anyways I now have a new head (my extremely loud tick went away :handclap ), new piston and rings and 5 new valves & I'm not sure about some of the other misc. stuff but the total was approx. $3,500 that Yamaha covered so I'm not really gonna complain that it took a little longer than I thought it should or that I couldn't get straight answers for 3 1/2 weeks.

Anyways that's my story and I'm sticken to it :beermug

certainly hope that'll be the story with mine if it happens this season. Just bought the 06, she has two miles on the clock and will be broke in hard at Barber this weekend. Ugh, 1 year warranty, right??
