I am Looking to change out my chain and change out my stock gear ration. Looking to take out the low end lag a bit. I've been told to go up one tooth in the rear or down one in the front. Is this true? Not trying to deal with a speedo healer. Looking for segestions.

Like you said if you dont want to deal with speedo healer, by going one down in the front and one up in the rear does help some, what you might need is a quick acceleration kit. I got the 520 conversion kit from Vortex with the all black aluminum Teflon rear sprocket and i did notice a difference, now i can get up to top speed quicker. If you can afford it than yes get it.
