Since I'm so cool and technical with bikes... I'll post up this very difficult mod. haha.

:corn

tools needed:
black spraypaint... either flat or gloss
clearcoat spraypaint

I used gloss. cost like 5 bucks at Pepboys

Clearcoat. It cost about 7 bucks at Pepboys.

I wasnt anal about the finished product... so i didn't sand anything down. I just wanted the pegs black. So really... no prepping on my pegs. I'm sure they would have turned out alot cleaner if I did prep... but I didn't care since I hardly ride with them on anyways.

I did about 4 coats of spraypaint... making sure I shook the can very well before applying. My main concern was the paint chipping off easily... since they get rubbed quite often from the chick's sandals... oops, i mean shoes.

I then gave another 3 layers of clearcoat to give the paint some protection. I wanted to give the paint alot of protection and didn't want it to chip off too easily... so what I did... is I gave the pegs ANOTHER 3 layers of spraypaint and ANOTHER 3 layers of clearcoat... just to be on the safe side.

Overall, I'm happy... I'll post up the pics installed on the bike tomorrow, when the clearcoat is fully dry.

Why in some pics, do your pipes look like you sprayed them black and some pics they look standard ???

um.. its the lighting, which affects the camera lens. imma plan on painting my heat shields and also getting baffles for the pipes. (can't convince myself to spend 900 bucks on an exhaust).
