Hi everyone, new here....

Are there any known or common problems with the 06 R1's?

I'm considering buying a 06 R1 with 22k miles on it and just wondering if there is anything I should be aware of or look for on these bikes.

My son had an 06 R1--not sure how many miles were on it when he was killed, but I do know he never had any problems with it. Though he modified it a lot! Still, no mechanical problems that I recall. He loved it!

I think all the R series bikes of Yamaha are just fantastic.
