:angry:angryMy son, Zach, was killed by a drunk driver 6 months ago. I was recently informed that due to the fact that the worthless cop handling the investigation says my son was speeding, (so he said he could tell by the impact damage, & the drunk bystanders outside of a nearby strip club) therefore, the guy who ran the stop sign pulling out in front of my son on his R1, who was 2 1/2x over the legal limit to drive & fled the scene, only to be found hiding behind a dumpster later, shouldn't be charged with "intoxication manslaughter" & the charges were dropped to simply "DWI"!
What I'm looking for is crash testing videos & or pictures that will show the effects of a crashed R1 into a Silverado pickup (or the like)at various speeds, to disprove the accusations of speeding over 100mph.
The mortition stated that there was no way he was going that fast, or his body would have been in much worse condition than it was.
Help--

I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your son. It must be heartbreaking beyond belief. I agree that the drunk driver should have been punished accordingly but I hope you don't put yourself through too much anguish trying to him convicted. Zach is gone and no amount of punishment given to this guy is going to bring him back.

Of course you are going to do what you feel is right. I just don't think that getting this guy convicted is going to make you feel a whole lot better. I could be wrong though.
