So as the title says my 06 R1 was running fine one day and as i got on it to pass a vehicle it cut out and felt like i either lost traction or lost a spark plug or something. I immediatly shut the motor down and pulled over, after external inspection i started the bike again for a second and heard the sound of death. I had 6 days left on my extended yamaha factory warranty which ended up replacing the heads all together a piston/rod and all the bearings and rings. I've got the motor broken in now (600 miles) and i'm begining to get on it a bit. I noticed after the first oil change that my valves are louder then before, This sound obviously makes me nervous at this point. I can't find any other word of this type of valve issues anyone have any imput?
