I am new here from the Detroit Michigan area. I ride an 01 R1, but thinking of doing some track days next year. Either going to sell the R1 and pickup a 600 for the track, or find an older cheap 600 for the track.

Yeah, welcome dude - dont know where the rest o' the members are - but can i suggest Keeping the R1, you may end up regretting it otherwise....and get a 600 beater for the track if you're worried about totalling your baby...

R6s own at the track... get one of them.

I've got a 600, but I doubt you could find track plastics for it. Welcome to the forum, btw.
