Ca'nt hold off any longer, buying an 06 R1. My main concern is insurance. My rec-
ord is unblemished although, why that is, is still a fooking mystery to me. Just lucky I guess however, at 48 years old, I have learned to act stupid when no one
{5-0} is looking. I've USAA coverage, not underwriten by Progressive. While I've
yet to converse with my agent, should I expect to get fooked, with regard to my
rate for full coverage?

I am screwed in one regard, I fall into the same catagory, with many people in
my age group, who are going through their 2nd or 3rd "childhood". They buy
these bikes with little or no expierience, and plow their shit in quickly.

I will check with my carrier however, any struggles you may have had with your
insurance, I'd like to hear about. Going into a battle with proper ammunition is
always a plus.

Perhaps you should consider holding off buying an R1 for while. Take a few hundred dollars and buy a beater bike; something with less power you can go all out on and not worry about scratching or crashing. Modern-day sportbikes are a bit much for a someone with "little or no experience" to learn on.

A quick word of advice to anyone who is getting one as a first bike.

Go for a red or blue one, they are a lot slower:lol

People @ my shop say "November". Just wish I had the "where with all" to get
the LE-R1. That fooker is decked out just right however, with only 500 being
produced, I hate the thought of having a "Collectors bike" that I ca'nt ride for fear
of putting too many miles on. I'll get one that I can trick out the way I want, Ride
when I want, and leave the "Garage Queen's" for someone else to enjoy. Only
my opinion folks, no offense to collector's intended. I buy'em to ride.

It is like a Gosht Town, but Ive been here since day 1 and I want it to build it up like the R6 Msnet :D

I can't work it out 264 members but they are very shy to post up, they dont even respond to the PORN in the water cooler:lol :lol

if you can't get a good deal with USAA, chances are that your not going to get a better quote anywhere else.
