So I just bought my '01 R1 for a good price, and was thinking that maybe I should sell it and make a lil profit and get a 02/03 R1 instead. Seems to be less maintence for the FI, even though I hear carb'ed R1 have a feeling that the FI lack.

Here is what is holding me back, this bike is modded fairly well. Steering dampener, frame slider, carbs sync'ed, bar ends, slip-on, upgraded brakes. I think I would be happy with it....but you know that thought of having something slightly newer is tempting. What do you guys think?

Stick with the bike you just bought.

Ride it for 6 - 12 mths then look at selling it, Hell you you love it so much that you wont want to sell it :D

hehehe you were a lil off in months Ozy, ended up riding it for 3 months. Think I am going to keep this '03 for a while, unless I find a killer deal on a '04 next year :DevilWink
