Hey everyone, I recently got rid of my r6 and I'm looking at an 02 r1, I was just wondering if I could get some advice on if I should do it or not. Its an 02, 20k miles, one owner, full ti exhaust, power commander, volocity stacks, k&n filter, 520 kit, graves tripple tree, frame and spool sliders, the guy told me he got the heads and valves checked out a little while ago and no need for adjustments, he changes the oil ever 2k miles. He's asking 4500, what do you guys think??? How long untill I have to worry about valves, and is there anything specific to look for? Any week points for the 02's? O and he said 2nd gear was slipping last year so he got the tranny replaced at the dealer under warranty, so let me know what you think please, all advice would be appreciated.
