Hey whats goin on. New to here. Not too fond of R1forum.com so i came here. Hopefully this site will get bigger and more informative. I have a 2001 Yamaha YZF-R1 Champions Limited Edition. Number 465 of only 1000 made. Unfortunately 3 months ago i looped out doin 50 so its in complete rebuild stage and I am upgrading many parts. On order right now are Barnett race clutch + springs, undertail and new nuts and bolts on the entire bike.

But just to let u drool over how it used to be. Here are some old pics..... :corn

****One of the pictures is before the polished rims.

Hi Everyone, new here as well, look forward to building this sight up. You Americans are so far ahead of us Aussies in terms of custom additions to bikes, man as soon as I put my Yoshimura Pipe on everyone was like 'wow'... nah, kidding - but we are pretty behind over here as far as what people do to their bikes, any hints tips & suggestions are much appreciated, and look forward to your ideas....

Hi Ozy, cool, for a second there i thought i was the only one....how do you find getting parts for your bike? (i'm just tryin' to figure out if its just me who's having the problem), I have been contacting the people over at War Eagle racing in the USA - and it seems its cheaper for me to buy my stuff off them and import it myself...perfect example is when i compare the prices with MOTO FX here in AUS, i mean, 275 bucks plus postage and handling for a single stage shift light - gotta be kidding right?

^^ yeah mate , its very easy to get from the Net and import yourself.

I have in the past bought a undertail pipe from England for my old R6 and a set of alpinestars from Italy.

The leathers were great, for the cost of the Jacket here, I got the set from Italy with sipping and duty charges:beermug
