So did a trackday with a couple guys on r6mn and took my '03 honda 600rr and had a great time. The bike was easy to ride, and allowed me to focus on the track and learn lines.

I ended up talking one of the guys (smoothr6) into purchasing an anni '06 r6 and he sold his '02 r6. Well we both happen to see another member of r6mn selling his blue '06 r6 for 6700 with 1,900 miles on it. :shocked I gave into peer pressure and got this bike just in time for my 2nd trackday....and all i have to say is HOLY SHIT!!!! This bike is def a track bike, and thanks to the similarity to my R1 I felt right at home.

Thus far I've done 2 trackdays with it and I cant wait to do more. I'm in love with the intake sound from low rpms...than the shriel from 10k and beyond. The bike takes everything I throw at it, in turn making me a bit faster at the track. Only bad thing is that I burned thru basically unused tires by the end of the 2nd track day. While the oem qualifers are ok....i think I would feel more comfy with DC III which I love.

Here are a few pics

I did have a question....why did rubber build up at the edge of the treads? Found that a bit odd.

Theres something in your nose, I think its a rubber booger.

How do you like the 6 compared to the 1 on the track? Which do you prefer?

Havent taken the 1 to the track yet, looking for tires right now so I can take it up there next month. I'll do a few sessions with the r1 and r6 back to back so I can have a good comparison. Loudon is better on 600cc bikes....but since the 1 acts like the 6 I'll have a good time.
