This item has sold. Thanks though.....and I dropped the shipping to $10 ;-)

You'd be surprised what it costs to ship UPS ground in some instances...after you buy a box, insurance, packing materials and actually go drop this stuff off. I'm no big ebayer getting any break on shipping items. Just trying to get rid of some extra parts in great shape. :beermug

Just a little FYI for the sceptics out there on shipping and handling charges....

This package shipped out today from Chicagoland to Alabama and will arrive by Wed. Shipping charges for UPS GROUND on this item was $13.47 (and that was re-using a box I had and packing it myself). So I was spot on with $15 S&H which would have left me an additional $1.53 for my troubles of going out of my way to ship it UPS.

Since I dropped the shipping to $10 it actually cost me an additional $3.47 out of my pocket to ship the item to the auction winner (and that doesn't even cover paypals fees, ebays fees, etc). So in the end everyone that thought I was getting rich over the $15 S&H.....this one turns out to be a negitive profit for me.

Just remember this next time and take S&H charges with a grain of salt before you jump to conclusions...it's not as cheap as you think especially if the ebayer (in my case) ships items via UPS and Fedex versus the US Postal Service. You pay more for a superior service.....

Just wanted to let everyone know incase someone thought I was trying to get rich by charging $15 S&H or was trying to rip someone off which I don't take lightly....I was spot on with the amount. :-)

I also shipped something today. A seat for an R1. Both items about the same size and both items about the same weight. Im in California and shipped to Massachusetts, for those of you who dont know, thats about as far as you can get from cali. It cost me $11 through UPS with tracking and I bought a box.

Nobody said you were trying to get rich but for the price/weight of the item, $15 is a bit much. As far as a negative profit, im sure you didn't sell the item for cost. You cant deny that you see things on ebay for a good price and come to find out that they charge an outrageous amount for shipping. I see it all the time.

"You cant deny that you see things on ebay for a good price and come to find out that they charge an outrageous amount for shipping. I see it all the time."

Sure I'll give you that but the cost of your shipping just furthers my point....$10-$15 shipping for an item using UPS Ground is reasonable and the norm that's all bottom line. I don't know what to tell you...my box must have been larger then yours b/c I paid $13.47 to have it shipped and I supplied the box. Either way I'm not going to argue over a few dollars....in the end it costs $10 plus for shipping and I don't think I was out of line at all.

We'll have to agree to disagree... :worship :beermug
